New Jersey Fire Museum: A Remarkable Year of Generosity and Growth

This year has truly been extraordinary for the New Jersey Fire Museum, as we have been honored with a remarkable assortment of vintage fire apparatus donated to our collection. These historic vehicles represent the dedication and legacy of fire departments across the state and beyond, and we are deeply grateful for the generosity of those who have entrusted us with their preservation.

In 2024, we proudly welcomed the following apparatus into our collection:

  • 1919 American LaFrance
  • 1984 Atlantic Highlands Sutphen Tower Ladder
  • 1985 Wallington Hahn
  • 1992 Hillside Seagrave
  • 1972 Keasby Mack Aerial Scope
  • 1955 Ocean Township Ahrens Fox
  • 1948 Chesterfield Mack L

Each of these vehicles tells a unique story of service, innovation, and bravery. As we continue to grow our collection, we remain committed to preserving the rich history of firefighting in New Jersey for future generations to explore and appreciate.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the donors for their invaluable contributions to our mission. Together, we are keeping the history of firefighting alive.

  • Our Peterbilt Tracker is at Campbell Supply and is being repaired for a broken engine mount and rear brakes.
  • The South Amboy needs a new engine and has been priced from 3 service providers.
  • The Ramtown engine has had a new o-ring seal placed on the master cylinder, and the brakes seem to be good. However, they need to be tested before being road-certified.
  • Our Model T needs a rear, which was located and picked up in Michigan.
